Hansen's Mitsubishi Laser Processing System

  • The NX is Mitsubishi's fastest laser system using a 4000 watt resonator to drive a flying optics bed.
  • We have a 16 shelf tower that is capable of holding 96,000 pounds of raw material and programmable over/under unload carts that can handle 22,000 pounds of material before we have to intervene.
  • The system can load, cut and unload 5'x10' sheets of metal, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week largely unattended.
  • Because the material does not move while being cut, it minimizes scratches and reduces the need for micro-joints often eliminating the need for post processing.

When should you consider using laser cutting?

Laser cutting technology enables us to cut complex shapes without the need for tooling. The precision levels and edge quality achieved with laser cutting machines are better than traditional cutting methods. This method also allows us to cut small diameter holes with complex detail and good edge quality in either sheet, plate, tube or box section.

What are the advantages of choosing laser cutting for your next project?

  • With laser cutting we are able to complete projects at a similar or even faster speed than comparable methods.
  • The laser beam will not wear during the laser cutting process so the precision this method offers remains consistent over time.
  • Reduced contamination of the workpiece which presents certain advantages over traditional mechanical cutting techniques.
  • Because laser cutting is a manufacturing process which can eliminate the need for machining on many engineering projects this dramatically reduces the time and costs involved with any project.
