The COVID-19 pandemic is an unprecedented period for everyone and it is more important than ever to come together, communicate and share information.
Why are we open? Hansen Industries Ltd. Is considered an essential service as defined by the Provincial Government of BC. Our parts go into machines that are making vaccines against COVID-19, into the infrastructure that keeps the internet up and running and into medical and transportation equipment.
We are fully committed to supporting our community, internal team, suppliers and customers. Our Safety Committee is fully engaged in implementing Best Practices relating to COVID-19. Our shipping department will continue to load and unload trucks while practicing social distancing.
We also have taken steps to ensure that team members who are feeling ill or at risk do not come to work.
We are temporarily suspending non-essential site visits and we are maintaining a limited office staff working at our location, with most working remotely. We have eliminated face-to-face meetings, instilled hourly cleaning regimes, and meet daily to continuously improve our defence system.
Hansen Industries Ltd. and our suppliers are down about 15% in staffing levels. We appreciate your patience and understanding if we need to make any necessary adjustments based on government regulations and the safety of our internal team and logistics partners. You may also see a slight lag in response times and slight increase in lead times, but rest assured we are here, and we will all get through this tough time. We are in this together!
