Overview: 
Hansen Industries is a metal fabricating manufacturer that specializes in Sheet Metal, Machining and Stamping solutions in Western Canada and Northwestern USA and has been around since 1976. That’s 48 years wow! We really know our stuff!! We are looking for an energetic, go getter Outside Sales Representative for our Richmond location.

Are you energetic, like to travel, have experience in Sales, skilled at calling on business prospects and making connections? If you answered yes then we want you!!

What we need from you: Experience in the metal industry is a plus, however we can train you in the technical nuances as required. Our dedicated inside sales team will be keen to assist you with all your quotation and technical follow-ups required.

1) Customer calling

a. Cold Calls

b. Warm calls

c. New markets

d. New territories

e. New Products (help come up with a product of our own)

2) Customer relationship generation

a. Getting to know all levels of customer’s business

b. Establishing long term relationships with key people (Champions)

c. Earn the trust of the Champions (solving his problems and showing integrity)

d. Learn and understand customer business plans and challenges

e. Turn customer’s plans/challenges into Hansen Revenue

f. Protect existing customer base from competitors, by establishing face to face relationships and trust

3) To learn and understand Hansen’s deliverable to the customers

a. Learn the technical solutions needed for customer problems

4) To understand the business world needs a return on investment, and how it is calculated

5) Work closely and partner respectfully with the Inside sales team, to generate quotations and solutions needed for your customers.

CNC Punch Operator for Afternoon Shift
Location: Richmond, BC Position Type: Full-time, On-site
How would you like to work where you are part a big family? Where it feels like home away from home? If yes then we want to you apply for the CNC Punch Press Operator position.

This is what the Key Responsibilities are:

  • Performing work on jobs according to drawings and work orders received from the Lead Hand or Foreman
  • Performing a first off inspection for parts and check that die sets have been loaded correctly
  • Maintaining the machine and keeping tools sharp and organized. If any tools are dull, send them to the Tool and Die shop with transfer sheet.
  • When receiving materials make sure the pallets are organized and labelled correctly
  • Empty pallets are to be organized by supplier names in the back-parking lot of Sheet Metal Shop
  • Breaking parts when the machine is running production
  • Keep their work area clean and tidy empty garbage cans and scrap bins.
  • Inform the Foreman or Lead Hand of any tooling requirements
  • Responsible for following Quality Procedures, Safety Procedures and Lean Procedures

What Qualifications & requirements you need?

  • Prior experience programming and Running CNC punch presses (preferably Trumpf)
  • Some knowledge of CNC programming and controls
  • High School diploma or equivalent, plus 1-2 years of experience programming punch presses
  • Technical education / classes preferred
  • Ability to understand moderately complex drawings and or specifications
  • Mechanical aptitude and the ability to troubleshoot problems with Trumpf equipment
  • Effective verbal and written communication
  • Able to lift at least 50 lbs. on a regular basis

Shift Availability:

  • Hours are from 4:00 pm to 2:30am , Monday to Thursday
  • There is no transit after 12am

Hansen Industries is looking to hire a Tool-Die Maker with new build experience of building dies (minimum of 5 years)

Key Responsibilities required:

  • Building of Dies
  • Maintain existing tools
  • Design and make new tools with customer specifications
  • Assist Shop Manager with inspection of first-off/last-off procedures
  • Attention to detail

Qualifications & requirements:

  • 5-10 years working experience in die making is a must
  • Good eye and hand coordination
  • Must be able to lift 30 to 50 lbs
  • Can read and write English

Estimator/Sales in the Manufacturing Industry
Location: Richmond, BC Position Type: Full-time, On-site
Hansen Industries is looking to hire a detail-oriented candidate to fulfil the Estimator/Sales position.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Review customer drawings and generate estimates
  • Contact customers about Request for Quote
  • Authorize Customer Purchase Orders
  • Respond to phone messages and emails in a timely manner
  • Review completed jobs to assess actual times vs. estimates
  • Update estimates with routing request changes
  • Follow jobs through the shop and discuss with the Supervisor/Lead Hand/Manager estimated times and operations for a job so that the jobs run as planned

Qualifications & requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent training is preferred
  • 1-2 years’ work experience in manufacturing industry
  • Experience in the fabrication industry an asset
  • Ability to read engineering drawings (blueprints)
  • Sales experience is an asset
  • Self-motivated/Self-starter with a professional and positive attitude
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Good verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects/ tasks
